Intro - Pedagogical versus Educational Psychology
At first glance, pedagogical and educational psychology might be used interchangeably. It seems like the latter is the term used in Anglo-Saxon psychogology whereas the former is preferred within German speaking countries. Following such geographical nuances, one not only hardly finds English textbooks or articles using the term pedagogical psychology in the first place or even providing a decent differentiation of educational versus pedagogical psychology altogether. And let´s face it, they seem to do pretty well without it! 👦 In any case one thing is for sure: Both are dealing with "the scientific study of human learning".
